Nausicaa - Mixed Reality Aquarium Attraction

Nausicaa, Europe's largest aquarium, commissioned Gimbal Cube to create GRAND LARGE, an innovative mixed-reality experience leveraging the Hololens 2 headset.

Designed to enhance Nausicaa's existing gallery space, Grand Large brings to life creatures from the deep sea that would ordinarily be impossible to display in a traditional aquarium environment.

Realistic holographic content is displayed to the viewing audience in combination with interactive hand tracking. This result is a unique shared experience that captivates viewers while educating about marine conservation efforts.

A first-of-its-kind attraction, the experience drives aquarium attendance, with showings for up to 15 viewers at a time running consistently throughout the day.
